Cryptocoryne parva is the smallest of all Cryptocoryns from Sri Lanka. The height is 3-6 cm and the individual rose is 5-8 cm wide. It is one of the few species that does not significantly change leaf form and colour depending on the growing conditions. It must have more light than most other Cryptocorynes because it almost loses the leaf plate under water.

Therefore, it must never be planted in the shadow of other plants. Cryptocoryne parva is known for its very slow growth, but fertiliser capsules in the bottom layer under the plants will increase growth significantly. Each plant is put at intervals of a few centimeters and will form a coherent low planting after some time. A highly recommended foreground plant.
